Pattern Recognition by Vicki Smith and Aroha Timoti explored the storytelling capabilities of two forms of encoding: traditional Maori tukutuku weaving, and QR coding. The two were united in a single tukutuku panel, which is a fully functional QR code usable by cellhones and mobile devices with cameras.
