The posts categorised here help understanding some of the ideas behind SCANZ 2015:water*peace. At SCANZ 2013 we visited the Parihaka community and for 2015 we wanted to extend the connection between us, so Peace was incorporated into the themes for SCANZ 2015 and we planned for noho marae (overnight stay). Water and Peace are themes of importance to indigenous groups worldwide. As organisers, we also needed to reflect on our use of resources and engage with sustainability in deep ways: developing the culture of sustainability.
