Space 01 (Life)
When I was on the crossroads in my life, I lost my interests in everything. I mean everything. But one day I saw this work in my dream. Next day when I woke up and started drawing that I had stopped for a long time. I was out of touch before this work. But this work gives me hope that someday I can be someone very useful to other people who are in needs. Out of all my works, this one is the only piece that I stamped my signature in the center of the work hoping that some day I can be a big help to somebody.

Space 09

Everything is born and die. So someone said Life is C between B and D. That is life is full of C(choices) between B(Birth) and D(death). Even the stars in the universe are born and die everyday. In this work I was trying to show the lights of life of a planet which burn brightly right before its existence.

Artist

MiSun Kim has won several awards from DanWon art Museum which is famous for Korean arts and has a work on display at Carson City Hall in California. There are a lot of Asian drawings you can find in New Zealand. But you never can find a work like MiSun Kim. She is the only one using pine cones and needles as subjects for the drawings in the entire world. It‘s unique and as you put it so clever. Drawings or pictures show the artists’ true self in their works. Therefore her works are showing her true self who wants to help people through her works.
