Pre-Symposium Accommodation
Please note – Recommended Arrival: Thursday, 13th January
For those coming from outside of New Plymouth for the full symposium or the first day, the powhiri (welcoming ceremony) will be starting early in the morning on the 14th (likely 9am is expected). In addition, you will need to arrive in time to practise some songs for the ceremony, as part of going onto the Marae. Hence you may wish to stay in New Plymouth the night of the 13th.
Our recommended accommodation for this is Accommodation on Bell in New Plymouth, who have given us generous discount on their nightly ($50), and weekly rates ($200). Please note that Waitara / Owae Marae are 20mins north of New Plymouth.

If you live locally, or for other reasons do not need the accommodation at the marae, you can register as a Day visitor.
